Woodworking is a major interest of mine given how it values traditional methods, materials knowledge and the end result lasts a lifetime. Almost the exact opposite of software.

As a kid, I played competitive baseball and had a second day job for a few years training for frisbee. I love playing for fun with great people, but also love the thrill of those moments when scores matter.
