Using a Behmor 1600+, I homeroast most of our coffee. By roasting ourselves we've been able to try new types such as Geshia, Peaberry and Yirgacheffe.

I don't roast the best coffee however - the best coffee is the one that's available now.

My latest interest has resulted in the opening of a pico-brewery. It's pico in the sense that we only serve friends and family.


I'm well aware that given my profession, fingers can be quite useful.

Woodworking is a major interest of mine given how it values traditional methods, materials knowledge and the end result lasts a lifetime. Almost the exact opposite of software.
