Another beer named by a satisfied customer who believed this beer was a "winner". [Ed. This means they finished their glass - all 6 - but really had to dig in to discover the "X-factor" the beer was missing.]
While waiting for a plane in O'Hare (back when Ottawa flew there direct) I was intrigued by a beer named after the Edmund Fitzgerald. Several iterations later you're tasting a beer inspired by the classic porter from Great Lakes Brewing.
Lots of toasty malts with chocolate, licorice and coffee. Looks heavy but very refreshing. Things have been hectic at the brewery - I would wait 25 days before cracking.
